    In the “Larder” this week 13th July 2026

    It’s chicken’ tonight at the larder this week! We have Asda breaded chicken steaks and M&S chicken Tempura in the fridge and large packs of coated chicken mini fillet tenders in the freezer. Creamy Santarella tomato soup is delicious hot but I chilled some for my lunch today and it was fabulous alongside a cracker topped with a mini cheddar cheese, which we have in bags of ten. There are loads of cherry tomatoes, courgettes, some nice cauliflowers, onions and beetroot. We have some free items this week – potato wedges and protein drinks need to GO!     In the “Larder” this week 29th June 2026

    In the larder 29th June 2026 We have so many yogurts and muller rice in the fridge along with southern fried chicken. New on the veg table we have some lovely beetroot along with onions, courgette, potatoes and oranges. The larder shelf is starting to fill up again we have some yummy crunchy chocolate spread, peanut butter, Weetabix, crisps and a range of fizzy drinks. New in the freezer we have a range of Wilshire meals, looking forward to knowing what these are like. We still have a lot of mini Yorkshire puddings and salmon too. £2 for up to 10 items.     In the “Larder” this week 22nd June 2026

    We have a bit of a change this week, I know we seemed to get some of the same things recently and we still have loads of roast potatoes and veggie haggis. But new this week we have some lovely mangos, great salad leaves, cauliflower pies and mini Yorkshire puds. Along with some rather big courgettes. New on the shelf we have quite a few sleeves of Weetabix too. The chunky lentil soup is back that was a hit the last time, it was super tasty. We also have a lot of Oat milk.     We have more and more oranges, come and take as many as you would like, they are delicious. Along with the oranges we have bananas, a ton of lovely looking lettuces, onions, cauliflower, plenty carrots and another truck load of mushrooms. Oh and of course we still have plenty potatoes. Peanut butter is back too along with plenty crisps, porridge, pasta, spices, wholemeal toast and more…. The freezer is still stocking plenty of roast potatoes, swede and carrots mash, potato mash, veggie haggis, black pudding and Farne of Scotland Salmon.     In the “Larder” this week 8th June 2026

    This week it is all about oranges. We have so many please come and help stop them going to waste.We also have a truck load of good sized white onions, mushrooms, massive potatoes too. New on the shelf is pepperami sticks along with the usual crisps, pasata, sweets, mixed of tinned goods and burger sauce. There is a mix in the fridge of coconut milk drink, fruit corner yogurts, milk, tomatoes, lamb and more…. In the freezer we have lots of veggie haggis, mashes potato, potato and carrot swede mash, salmon and tons of roast potatoes. Up to ten items for minimum donation of £2, bring a bag.

    In the “Larder” this week 1st June 2026

    Anyone love houmous?, we have a truckload of it. Along with some tomato and basil pasta salad, perfect for your lunch. We also have plenty of cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and breaded chicken in the fridge. For our veg lovers we have some cracking broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, carrots and also a truckload of potatoes. Along with some bananas and strawberries. Oh and a load of massive and local rhubarb. We have a range of different rolls and bread including sour dough and brioche hot dog rolls.     In the “Larder” this week 25th May 2026

    We have very large pineapples, we were wondering if we should cut them to share but decided not to so they keep fresh. We have so many large potatoes this week, please come and get them, plenty baked tatties on the dinner menu this week. There is so some prawn cocktail in the fridge that might work well with one. We have a few different types of a milk and yogurt drinks, mushrooms, pears, oranges, spring onions. In the freezer we have the last of the yummy chicken drummers, they need eaten by the end of the week, I think we will make them a free item. Up to 10…

    In the “Larder” this week 18th May 2026

    You had better be quick as we have only have a few lamb chops, square sausage and coffee salmon in the fridge. We have lots of spring onions no idea why so many, we have had four full trays in total. We have more satsumas and carrots. Back on the shelf are chopped tomatoes, pickled onions and we still have the tomato and olive or smoked haddock and rice meals. These are proving popular.     In the “Larder” this week 5th May 2026

    We have some lovely flat bread and steak in the fridge, there are only 10 steaks so only a few will be lucky. We also have some frii milk, apple juice lots and lots of mushrooms. The carrots and leeks are looking fresh and still a few good lettuces kicking about. We have lots of veg curry in the freezer and tons of skin on fries that we will hopefully manage to get used by the end of May. We still have some lovely veggie haggis and black pudding from catering packs that we have labelled up so we can share them out with you guys.
