    In the “Larder” this week 7th September 2026

    In the larder week commencing 7th September 2026. The lovely flat breads are back, they are great cut up with a dip. We have quite a few watermelons which is great as we don’t usually get them and they are not to big. Big in the fridge is the truck load of parmesan cheese, that flew out the door the last time. There’s also goats milk, sour cream and natural yogurt. The freezer is full with a range of things including salmon from Farne of Scotland, Wiltshire meals, lots of chicken in batter, galaxy cookies and Yorkshire puddings.     In the “Larder” this week 31st August 2026

    The fridge is rammed, lots of natural yogurt, chicken, houmous, Yorkshire pudding, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. One the tables the carrots look fab as do the bananas, tangerines and grapes. There are lots of onions, Greenvale potatoes and celeriac too. Oh and tomatoes. Even the shelf has a good range today porridge oats, beans, Thorntons easter eggs, ryvita’s, chopped tomato, flat breads. And finally the freezer continues to be well stocked. Soup, Croquettes, chicken wings, chicken empanadas, breaded chicken, sweetcorn, salmon from Farne of Scotland. There is something for everyone.     In the “Larder” this week 24th August 2026

    This week we have an abundance of chicken in batter. So much our freezers are all full. We also have mini sweetcorn, fries, salmon, galaxy cookies in the freezer and still some potato croquettes. We also have some chicken in batter in the fridge but there is also some delicious strawberries, tomatoes, yogurt and butter. There is some lovely fresh oranges just in, large nan bread, pot noodles, Easter chocolate and much more.  £2 minimum donation for up to 10 items, please bring a bag.

    In the “Larder” this week 17th August 2026

    We have a lot of bread of all kinds, lots and lots of beetroot and lovely cherry tomatoes. The chicken tempura is back and having tasted it, I would recommend it, its nice crispy batter. We also have some butter, yogurts and goats cheese. We still have quite a bit of easter chocolate, porridge oats, beans, crisps. Please take some potato croquettes we have so many, lots of chicken drummers too. £2 for up to 10 items, bring a bag.

    Finally we have good bananas. We have a glut recently that were not even good for banana bread.  We have an abundance of little apple crumbles that look yummy. Along with more soup, yes more spicy lentil soup. I think some people love it, its quite spice though. Good for a pasta sauce aswell. Other highlights some great carrots, lovely flat breads that are great for dipping. Baby potatoes, oranges, pot noodles, water, bottles of juice, oaty snacks and yes more easter chocolate. £2 for up to ten items, please bring a bag.

    Soup, soup and more……..soup. Come and stop all this delicious soup going to waste. We have it in the fridge and the freezer. Spicy Lentil, Satrella and Tomato and Basil. We also have a range of milk, oat, lacto free, oat and milkshakes in the fridge and chicken empanadas that look yummy. Veg wise we have broccoli, tomatoes, courgettes, cucumber, onions, potatoes, cauliflower, beetroot and more. The shelf is bursting lots of chocolate, water, juice, crisps, oat bars and more. In the freezer we have croquets (free item), sausages, chicken, salmon, bitesize yorkies and lots of frozen. £2 for up to 10 items please bring a bag.

    In the “Larder” this week 27th July 2026

    We have lemon cheese cake yogurts, vanilla yogurts, vanilla protein yogurt drinks and friji yogurts drinks. Along with tomato and basil soup, bacon and steak. There is some lovely cucumbers, mushrooms, tomatoes, courgette’s, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, beetroot and ginger. There is quite a lot of choice in the freezer roast potatoes, chicken fillets, lorne sausage, yorkshire puddings, sausages, soup, salmon and beef and mushroom casseroles. We also have more chocolate easter treats, crisps, pot noodles, pasta, oats, sparkling water and more.     In the “Larder” this week 20th July 2026

    Its hot, we have fluids to keep everyone hydrated. Not only do we have quite a lot of bottled water but we have a chunky lentil soup, oatso milk and milkshakes aswell, including some protein ones. We have a lot of tasty oranges, pea pods, turnips, peppers, courgettes, lemons, onions and more. The shelf is looking fuller again, we still have chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, Weetabix, porridge, energy drinks and pot noodles. Oh and some scrummy chocolate treats, its not easter but we have Easter Eggs.     In the “Larder” this week 13th July 2026

    It’s chicken’ tonight at the larder this week! We have Asda breaded chicken steaks and M&S chicken Tempura in the fridge and large packs of coated chicken mini fillet tenders in the freezer. Creamy Santarella tomato soup is delicious hot but I chilled some for my lunch today and it was fabulous alongside a cracker topped with a mini cheddar cheese, which we have in bags of ten. There are loads of cherry tomatoes, courgettes, some nice cauliflowers, onions and beetroot. We have some free items this week – potato wedges and protein drinks need to GO!
