In the “Larder” this week 9th June 2025

The exciting news this week is that we have started to get fresh produce from Abundant Borders, Station Road, Duns again. Broad beans, gooseberries and a lovely cabbage all grown in the community garden. 

It’s a busy time at the cafe as we have the What Matters Hub and Sustainable Borders visiting on Tuesday. The freezer is full of breaded chicken, large bags of grated mozzarella and frozen peas. The fridge has fewer items in it but this is because the freezer is full! As you will see from the pictures we also have a good range of fruit and vegetables. The kettle will be on and hopefully the rain will have stopped.
