In the “Larder” this week April 28th 2025

It looks like we are going to have some glorious weather.  As you will see from the photos we have a good range of fruit and vegetables available. We had a delivery from Eildon housing which included a mystery item which I had to research. It is called taro. Apparently you can cook it like a potato, so roasted, baked or boiled. The fridge is full of pasties and sausage rolls. 

This Wednesday is World Food Waste Day. 33% of all food produced globally is lost or wasted every year. Let’s do our bit to reduce this amount. Pop in for a cuppa we are open 10 till 12 noon Tuesday and Thursday.
