In the Larder this week July 1st 2024

Our fresh salad leaves from Abundant Borders have proved very popular. Last Thursday we had the first of their other crops. We also were given some fresh lettuce and parsley from a garden in Paxton. Lovely to see people sharing, just taking what they need and enjoying this really fresh local produce.

Our delivery from FareShare in Edinburgh included 24 Cornish Pasties which need to go today (Tuesday). They can be frozen for future use. As you will see from the photograph, they have also delivered a wide range of other items.

FareShare have also delivered some more smokey bean and veg chilli. Lots of visitors have said how much they enjoyed it. Feedback is very useful. The freezer will also have salmon from Farne and a few Wiltshire Farm Foods meals.

In addition, we have our usual wonderful range of bread and bakery goods, provided by the Co-op, and potatoes from Greenvale.
